Running Season or Not

Most of you know Eric is a runner. And a good one. So, you would naturally assume that some of that talent may have just been passed down by mere genetics. Well, it was, kindof. We had one that was the first boy over the finish line all six weeks in a row..after 2 girls. We had one that would cry at the start of each race and Daddy would have to run with him..and he made it to about tenth place...or so. And we had one who made it in at twenty-fourth. It was a fun event that was put on by some of our community members with a good group of a hundred or so kids that turned out every time. We had fun connecting with some of the parents during the races when we weren't cheering the kids on. Here are some pictures of the kids at their running events.
Here is Ethan sandwiched between the two girls who beat him every week. I am glad he is still smiling!

Here is Christian and Dad having a little pep talk before the big 3/4 mile race.

 Here is warming up..
Here is Ethan almost to the finish line...he has a good lead.

Here they are after they got their places. Looks like Dad has some work to do!

Here are some extras of our precious kiddos. They did a great job of trying hard and giving it all they could. We are thankful that we were able to participate in this and look forward to next years running season.

And here is Simeon who sat on the sidelines and cheered!
